Re-Opening of Common Kitchens at Jafza Staff Accommodation Under Strict Measures

Based on the positive outcome achieved so far due to your sense of responsibility and strict adherence to the precautionary measures to combat COVID-19, DP World UAE Region’s HSE Department and Trakhees’ EHS are pleased to announce reopening of common kitchens in Jafza staff accommodation starting from Thursday 20th of August 2020. 

Nevertheless, we urge you to instruct your employees and labours to strictly adhere to the following procedures for a safe utilisation of the common kitchens:

1. Use of kitchens is strictly for residents of adjacent buildings, and will be on “First Come First Served” basis.
2. Crowding is prohibited inside the kitchen, and the number of occupants in the kitchen shall not exceed the maximum number of allowable persons.
3. Security guard shall monitor the temperature of persons entering the kitchen, and all their instructions must be followed.
4. Hands must be sanitised/washed every time before entering or leaving the kitchen.
5. Maintaining a physical distance of 2 Meters while using the kitchen is a must.
6. Wearing face masks and gloves at all times.
7. Kitchen must be sterilised and sanitised before leaving.
8. Food preparations, such as peeling and slicing of ingredients are prohibited. Usage of kitchen shall be limited to proper cooking only.
9. Storage of food ingredients, such as spices and vegetables are not allowed.
10. Garbage generated in the kitchen must be disposed properly.
