Update on Passport Extension and New Employment Visa

In order to keep you abreast of the latest rules related to clearing your transactions smoothly, we would like to inform you that the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA) has announced an update on extending the expired passport as well as issuance of the employment visa.

Extended Passports

The expired passport must be renewed immediately in order to proceed with any transactions with the GDRFA. Extended passports will not be accepted.

Entry Permit Requirements for Applicants Inside the UAE

To apply for a new employment visa application inside the UAE, it is required to upload either a copy of cancelled residence visa or a copy of entry permit to the UAE.
