  • e-Services launch for Mina Al Hamriya

    • Type: News

All Shipping Lines, Agents and Port Users

As part of our commitment to continuously improve processes and enhance customer experience, we are pleased to launch Mina Al Hamriya e-services.

In phase one, we are introducing two essential services on Dubai Trade single window www.dubaitrade.ae with more services to be added soon to streamline the operations further.

    • Vessel Master: Enables the registration of a new vessel.
    • Voyage Registration: To create rotations for a vessel's arrival.

Both services are now live and accessible by all shipping agents operating in Mina Al Hamriya. Concerned users can request access from their company administrators and start using the services with immediate effect. By utilising these e-services, Customers will no longer need to physically visit Mina Al Hamriya counters for vessel and voyage registration. The transition to e-services will help our customers to save time, effort, and cost.

  • Edge Protection and Lashing Safety Compliance

To ensure safety and efficiency, all vessels arriving at our Jebel Ali Terminals must comply with our safety procedures for edge protection and lashing operations.

    • Deficiencies: Any issues with a vessel's edge protection (e.g., missing handrails) must be fixed immediately. If risks cannot be mitigated, DP World will suspend lashing/unlashing operations in the affected area, and the work must be completed by the vessel's crew under the Chief Officer's direct responsibility. A deficiency letter will be issued.
    • Crew Responsibility: If edge protection is non-compliant, the vessel crew is responsible for all lashing/unlashing operations. The Chief Officer must provide a signed liability letter.
    • Joint Assessment: If there is any doubt about safety, a joint assessment will be conducted by DP World and vessel representatives before operations can proceed.

Safety inspections will be conducted on all vessels. Non-compliance that poses a risk to our people or equipment may result in cargo operations being denied.

  • Introduction of Bunker Supply Services at Jebel Ali Anchorage J-Charlie

Following our earlier communication dated 24 October 2024 on the introduction of anchorage services in Jebel Ali, we are pleased to announce that bunker supply services are now permitted at the J-Charlie anchorage area, effective 1 June 2025.

This new facility has been introduced to support our customers in enhancing vessel turnaround efficiency and meet growing business demand in the region. Vessels without an operational call at Jebel Ali may also avail bunkering services at anchorage.

The bunkering activities at J-Charlie are subject to Harbour Master’s approval and will be assessed based on the safety of the operation, location, vessel size, type and draft, duration of operation, type of fuel and weather conditions.

All operations must adhere to DP World and Dubai Ports Authority (DPA) policies, procedures and safety guidelines while supplying or receiving bunkers at the anchorage area.

Bunker supply permits will be charged as per Tariff item 314 announced in October 2024.
