    Important update to Jafza's current procedure for New Registration, and share-related services, including:

    1. Share Transfers

    Effective 12 May 2025, the new process is set to be quicker, more efficient, and enhance customer experience:

    • Creation of a Service Request (SR): First, complete the Compliance Task, by uploading the Ultimate Beneficial Owner (UBO) Form, along with all other necessary supporting documents (such as passport copies and any declarations).
    • The Courier Task is now the second step in this process. Your original documents will only be collected after Compliance has reviewed and approved the UBO and related documentation.

    We have updated our process to ensure all documents are fully reviewed and confirmed before collection, resulting in a quicker, more streamlined experience for all customers.

    We would like to reiterate the importance of complying with the Ministry of Economy's Updated Cabinet Resolution 109 and Cabinet Decision 132 regarding the Ultimate Beneficial Owner (UBO) submission process.

    It is crucial for all Jafza companies to ensure their UBO details are submitted and consistently kept accurate and up-to-date. This includes providing valid supporting documents, such as passport copies for all declared Ultimate Beneficial Owners.

    For companies that have not yet submitted their UBO details or need to make updates:

    All UBO submissions and updates are to be completed through the 'Compliance' section on the Dubai Trade portal.

    Please follow these steps:

    1. Log in to Dubai Trade.
    2. Navigate to 'Compliance'.
    3. Select 'Update UBO Details'.
    4. Enter your Company’s account number.
    5. Follow the instructions to submit new information, revise existing details, or add new UBOs, ensuring all required valid documents (e.g., passport copies) are uploaded.

    We urge all companies to familiarise themselves with this updated service and take immediate action to submit or verify their UBO information. Non-compliance or the submission of incomplete/outdated information may lead to business disruption.

    1. Log in to Dubai Trade.
    2. Navigate to 'Compliance'.
    3. Select 'Update UBO Details'.
    4. Enter your Company’s account number.
    5. Follow the instructions to submit new information, revise existing details, or add new UBOs, ensuring all required valid documents (e.g., passport copies) are uploaded.

    We urge you to familiarise yourselves with this updated service and ensure your UBO details are accurate and up to date to avoid any business disruption.

    Please be advised that unstable weather conditions (rain, thunder, and fog) are forecast across the UAE. To help protect your facilities, operations, and staff, please take note of the following recommended safety measures:

    Monitor weather updates:
    We encourage you to monitor official channels for updates (National Center for Meteorology).

    Check and clear drainage systems:
    Inspect drains, gutters, and inlets, and remove any debris to ensure outlets are free-flowing. Report any blocked or faulty drains immediately.

    Inspect building exteriors for risk of water intrusion:
    Check external seals, windows, and cladding for cracks or gaps to prevent leaks.

    Secure outdoor installations:
    Ensure any temporary signage, banners, or scaffolding are securely tied down or stored away. Avoid placing items in areas where rainwater may accumulate.

    Protect electrical and mechanical assets:

    • Go to “Service Menu”
    • Choose “Registration”
    • Go to “Ultimate Beneficiary Owner”

    The following points should be noted:

    1. The UBO Form request is applicable to all types of companies and owners/shareholders, whether the owners/shareholders are natural or legal persons.
    2. Pursuant to the Article (15) of the Cabinet Decision No. (58) of 2020 regulating the beneficial owner procedures, please note the following:
      • The Registrar shall not disclose to any person the data contained in the Register of Beneficial Owner or the Register of Partners or Shareholders, without a written consent of the Beneficial Owner or the Nominee Board Member.
      • The provisions of Clause (1) above shall not apply to:
        • Disclosure obligations set forth in the Decision.
        • Anything provided for by the international laws and conventions in force in the State, particularly the provisions of Anti-Money Laundering and Combating the Financing of Terrorism and Financing of Illegal Organisations.
